OLIMPS new contract with VIVAVIS AG for SCADA modernization of the Incukalns underground gas storage facility.

SCADA (Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition) is a software package designed to develop and implement systems for the object’s data collection, processing, display and archiving with real-time control of the technological process.

VIVAVIS AG is one of Germany’s leading IT companies, focusing on software solutions for process control of large industrial facilities in the energy sector.

Under the contract, OLIMPS will implement the following scope of works:

• procurement, replacement, and software installation of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) as well as other equipment required for the modernisation project;
• configuration of the existing SCADA systems;
• procurement and configuration of new software;
• commissioning and follow-up maintenance of the PLCs;

In total, the project covers more than 40 PLCs.

We are pleased to continue our cooperation with CONEXUS BALTIC GRID gaining new experience with VIVAVIS AG, a leading supplier of SCADA systems, to jointly develop Latvia’s energy infrastructure and contribute to its safety.
